TikTok is NOT a dancing app for kids.

I help tech, B2B, and professional services firms fill their pipeline with qualified leads. I've done search and social media marketing for almost 2 decades — first as a consultant for brands like Tiffany's, Facebook, and McKesson. Then in-house leading Content & SEO at HomeLight and Kickoff.

Businesses used to think that:

Blogs = cooking recipes and diaries.
Facebook = dog pictures and your mom.
YouTube = cat videos.

Turns out, the businesses were wrong.

TikTok broke into the mainstream with viral dancing videos.

But today there are massive TikTok’s devoted to:

- Excel spreadsheet skills
- Becoming a veterinarian
- How to do SEO
- Growing a business
- Soccer drills
- Playing tambourine
- Getting fit
- Getting a job
- How to cosplay
- Becoming a nurse
- Trading stocks
- Real estate investing
- Global politics
- Ancient Mesopotamia
- Chinese propaganda
- Your neighbor’s dog

My point is not to start creating content on TikTok.

It’s that people use platforms for SO many different things. This is how people learn, how they shop, how they buy, how they grow.

Companies are growing on ALL platforms, in an infinite number of niches.

Don’t overlook a massive opportunity.
